The Village Trip is a celebration of Greenwich Village's unique place in New York City's cultural history. The festival's centerpoint is the Washington Square Hotel - formerly the Hotel Earle - whose long history includes ties with Eugene O’Neill and Edna St Vincent Millay in the 1910s through Patti Smith and the 1970s' punk era. Programming includes music, literature and more from when the Village was home to the burgeoning folk music and cafe scene.
